Personal Profile:Point Blank Regent Park Hip Hop Group.

Regent park hip hop group Point Blank has been around the Canadian music business for years. The group started making waves in hip hop scene in the year 1996, the group has had great community support from the people of Regent Park and based their music around Regent Park were they grew up. Point Blank has been featured on many different segments on Much Music including: Ed The Sock, Much Music Top 10's and even the Junos. The group has recently taken a break from producing music. But hopefully they get back at it and make more good music.

Regent Park has recently went through a Redevelopment faze in which the community's older buildings and homes have been demolished to make way for condos, which in turn forced may people out of their homes, and made them find somewhere else to live. The main problem with this is that many different people have had to give up their homes because of the Government, they have to start a new life for no reason at all. All for the reason to mix both poor and rich citizens into the same community, this idea in principal is a great one but it is still up in the air if it is going to work, hopefully for everyone's sake this redevelopment is successful.

Problems in Regent Park.

Regent Park is a housing project for members of the city who are in poverty; the people who live in Regent Park are mostly young people. Regent park has also been in the media over the years for crime related issues, and violence. The citizens of the area have always maintained that the area is still a great place to live and raise children no matter what the media says. The problems sounding Regent Park have always been dealt with by the community and will continue to be dealt with by the community. Living in Regent Park i can say that in my experiences that the neighbourhood is not as bad as the media makes it out to be.

Regent Park is a neighborhood located in Old Toronto, and is Canada's oldest social housing project. Regent park was built in the 1940's and is one of Canada's most well know project, be for all of the positive things the neighborhood and even sometimes the bad. through it all Regent Park has been one of Canada's most respected neighborhood for all of the great things the area has achieved. this is the Story of regent park
